4:45 - 6:05 PM.....Large Group        •       6:10 - 7:15 PM.....Elective Time 

During Large group children will learn the music fundamentals through games, movements, singing, music reading, and more. This portion of learning skills and developing abilites is fast-paced, active, challenging, and fun!

After Large Group, children separate into smaller groups for Elective Time. This is where they get to select a performance group to participate in for the entire year. In the past we have offered many different electives like handbells, drama, recorders, xylophones, choir, chimes, sing language, flags and streamers, STOMP, set building, and more! Each elective offered is based on student interest and available teaching staff.

Elective Time is where performance specific skills get shaped and refined and at the end of the year, participate in our Spring Concert. Occasianlly, advanced groups, requiring auditions or prior experience, will do extra performances throughout the year .

 

A N N U A L    T A L E N T   S H O W
This year we will be doing our 4th Annual Talent Show. Student auditions with the most prepared and varied acts will be selected for inclusion of the performance. This gives a well earned chance for students to showcase some of their hidden talents. We have seen everything from singing, karate, and gymnastics, to funny skits, cheerleading, and ballet dancing.  

 

C H R I S T M A S     P A R A D E
At the beginning of December, each year, Music Makers participate in the Christmas Parade of choirs. This event showcases all the various performing groups that meet and rehearse on our campus throughout the year. It is a fun time of Christmas music and a great way to start off the Holiday season.

 V A C A T I O N     B I B L E     S C H O O L

For the 2nd year in a row, we have been asked to premier the Vacation Bible School at the VBS Conference which takes place in late February.

 

This honor was given to us last year and even though it was a lot of hard work we ended up having a GREAT time. It was tremendous exposure for our program as church leadership from around the state got to see and hear our choir perform.

 

S P R I N G     C O N C E R T
In early May, we end the year with the Spring Concert. At this final event we do an extended version of the VBS musical plus performances by our electives. It is always a high quality, fun evening of entertainment and worship.

A W A R D S

 

At the end of each year, students get awards for participation as well as Commemorative Pins for their participation in the VBS musical. 

We also give out awards for attendance, mulitple years of participation in Music Makers and the same Elective, and special awards called Elective MVP awards. The 5 Star Award is awarded to those students who go above and beyond what is asked of them. This is the ULTIMATE award!

 

T I C K E T S     &     M E D A L L I O N  S
Each week, students earn tickets and periodically put these tickets in their ticket bank. With the correct amount, these tickets can be use to trade up to a Medallion. Medallions cost the following amounts...

Ruby Medallion = 100 tickets

Emerald Medallion = 100 tickets (must have obtained a Ruby Medallion)

Diamond Medallion = 120 tickets (must have obtained an Emerald Medallion)

Rainbow Medallion = 140 (must have obtained a Diamond Medallion)

Music Maker Medallion = 160 tickets (must have obtained a Rainbow Medallion)
